Now, I want it for my work car.
It would be the perfect, solid little French car to putter from house to house in. The only thing that would make it better, if I was of French ancestry, but, alas, I’m German through and through.

WANT. You’re right, it would be a great medium-distance runner. Maybe not comfy enough for super long road trips, but lovely for long commutes.

Yes! Love those old proper Peugeots. If it’s anything like my BX then the NA diesel isn’t as catastrophically slow as you think (don’t get me wrong, it is definitely still slow).
Could always swap in a PRV V6 if you feel like cruising in a little more luxury :)

VERY nice! Yup, I’ve been told they are slow as molasses, but I’d love to have one! There was one of about the same year in Mint green with a petrol engine for sale IN Quebec with very low miles a year or two ago - owned by an old guy.
They were selling it for like $1500, INSANELY cheap. I wanted to buy it so badly, but it was impossible for me at the time...
